Summer reading

Enjoy your summer reading

When you read or listen to the books and stories this summer, either in print or online, substantial or short, keep track of the titles you discover. In summer, we have more time for inventive ideas, and you may like to take a picture of the book cover and put it in your blogger, take a photograph of you reading a book, or even create a photo story or do something else to display your reading.
The list of the titles that you will have created will be handy when we make tails for the library reading kites in August.

As you know, returning students with cleared accounts have the privilege to check out a double amount of library materials.

Also, please check some digital reading resources.

Summer Reading

“... a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

Thinking about summer break puts me in a mood of mashing the words found on web about reading and books into a poem!

Summer reading.

Take a book with you on a trip.
Read in a tent,
          read under a tree,
                   read at the park,
                            read in the kitchen,
                                    read at the beach,
                                                                                        read with a flashlight.
                                            Read about friendship,
read about a country that is far away from your hometown,
                                                                read about your native place,
                                                                        read about space.
Read a book that makes you laugh,
                                                       read a comic book,
                                                              read a biography,
                                                                     read an adventure,
read a book that was turned into a movie...
                                                                           (adapted from http://www.notimeforflashcards.com)

Keep reading and refine your brainpower.

Keep track of book titles to write them later on the tails of Summer Reading Kites when we come back to school in August. Soar with summer reading!
