Summer Reading

“... a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

Thinking about summer break puts me in a mood of mashing the words found on web about reading and books into a poem!

Summer reading.

Take a book with you on a trip.
Read in a tent,
          read under a tree,
                   read at the park,
                            read in the kitchen,
                                    read at the beach,
                                                                                        read with a flashlight.
                                            Read about friendship,
read about a country that is far away from your hometown,
                                                                read about your native place,
                                                                        read about space.
Read a book that makes you laugh,
                                                       read a comic book,
                                                              read a biography,
                                                                     read an adventure,
read a book that was turned into a movie...

Keep reading and refine your brainpower.

Keep track of book titles to write them later on the tails of Summer Reading Kites when we come back to school in August. Soar with summer reading!
