There are now 4025 journals in the directory. Currently 1448 journals are searchable at article level. As of today 270911 articles are included in the DOAJ service". This option is helpful if you want to prepare flashcards for your class. It offers several modes of studying: each stack can be viewed in flash card mode, in match mode, as a hangman game, crossword, word find, or bug match. Click on the export feature once you have created a study stack to learn the best way to export data to a hand held device.

Zamzar - Free web-based application that converts files from one format to another. You can use it to download YouTube movies and convert files upto 100 MB. (recommended by School Library Journal).

BBC Weather site - this small collection of games and activities provided by BBC is recommended by Tech&Learning. The collection includes a weather-word hangman, a do-it-yourself weather map, and weather quiz.

A site on alternative fuel Fuel Our Future Now is created for students and teachers by the U.S. Department of Energy. Teachers can find there lesson plans, video, and interactive tools on the subject.
